PLEASE HAAALLP! I will post my load order if necessary, but since I didnt change anything before the CTD, I don't think it is necessary. I have had this broblem once in the past, but cannot remember for the life of me how I fixed it.
After the first CTD, I restarted my computer, and verified the game cache via steam. In between quitting the game, I did not change my load order, install or uninstall any mods, update any mods or anything of that sort. The Health bar, the AP bar, and the enemy health bar were all there, but empty, and there was no text on anything, then the game went full CTD. If you move any Fallout: New Vegas file that has a companion following onto a memory unit, then you insert the memory unit into an Xbox 360 without Xbox Live, and no title updates on either the Xbox or the memory unit, the current companion will keep entering conversation if they get too close to the player while following. I went to start the game up later with the Nexus Mod Manager, got through all the screens, and saw the Main Menu background, but before the game title, the menu options, or the 'Loading Downloadable Content' window, the game switched to a black screen, with parts of the ingame HUD. I saved and quit the game as normal, in the Honest Hearts DLC.
I have a lot of mods installed, but before anyone says 'There's your problem!' please understand my problem. I have been having a persistant CTD on Fallout New Vegas recently,
